Demi Lovato

Singer and past Disney star, Demi Lovato suffered from an apparent drug overdose and was rushed to the hospital on July 24th.
Lovato was released from the hospital and is reportedly seeking treatment at a rehabilitation center.

Lovato was also on her Tell Me You Love Me tour and canceled her remaining shows after the incident and will not be rescheduling. She also released a song in June called “Sober,” revealing to fans that she broke her six year sobriety.

The star has dealt with depression and an eating disorder which sent her to rehab in the past.

Beyonce and Jay-Z

The power couple recently released an album called “Everything is Love,” containing nine songs on the album featuring “Nice” and “Boss.”
Along with releasing a new album, the couple is on their second tour together. The tour “On the Run II Tour” is the couples second joint tour and has visited cities like Cleveland and Columbus.

The tour is set to end October 4 in Seattle, Washington.

Ariana Grande

Grande released her fourth studio album, “Sweetener”, August 17.

There are fifteen tracks on the album including her hit song, “No Tears Left To Cry,” which is still on the top 100 charts on Billboard. Grande also performed her other top-streaming single, “God is a Woman,” at the MTV Video Music Awards on August 20.

After the release, some of Grande’s songs like “R.E.M,” “Blazed” featuring Pharell Williams and “sweetener” made the iTunes pop charts for the week.

Grande also has a song on the album called “Pete Davidson”, after her fiancé, Pete Davidson.

Grande split from long-time love, Mac Miller in May and started dating Davidson shortly after the split with Miller.
Grande and Davidson were engaged after one month of dating.


Incredibles 2

Remember that last scene at the end of Incredibles in 2004? Well for those who fell in love with the first movie, Incredibles 2 finally released this summer.

The superhero family hit theaters June 15 and made over 504 million dollars at the box office according to Forbes.com. The long-awaited sequel earned a 93% on Rotten Tomatoes and received many reviews.

The movie was released in June, but you can still check it out in Theaters.

Incredibles 2 will also be available on DVD in October.

Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again

The beloved musical featuring Meryl Streep and Amanda Seyfried from 2008 also returned this summer, including yet another big name: Cher. According to Box Office Mojo, the sequel has made 111,222,895 dollars in the United States. Scoring a 80% on Rotten Tomatoes, it has received reviews from all over the board.

The musical is still in Theaters and will be released on DVD and Blu-ray in October 2018.


Taylor Swift

The singer made a comeback with her newest pop album, “Reputation.” After releasing “1989” in 2014, the singer made sure to come back into the music world with another all-pop album.

Swift toured all over the states this summer and is still going. Swift kicked off her Reputation tour in May and isn’t done until November 21.

The star also sang some of her classic throwbacks songs including “Shake It Off” and “Love Story.” Even though Swift’s newest album was released to music lovers in November of last year, it still takes over the pop music charts and her music videos receive over millions of views on Youtube. According to The Dispatch, Swift’s concert in Columbus, Ohio made history as it was Ohio Stadiums largest concert they have ever hosted.
